The minute Samsung started crowing about the Galaxy S5 being waterproof, you just knew some maniacs would try putting it to the test by swimming with the device. In this particular case, the maniacs in question are the team at TechSmartt who have filmed a video of the Galaxy S5 being dunked underwater for a prolonged period of time and also of the Galaxy S5 being put through a washing machine. In the video, TechSmartt dropped the Galaxy S5 into a pool’s shallow end at let it sit there for roughly an hour before hoisting it up. Incredibly, the Galaxy S5 still worked perfectly well afterward and the only noticeable problem with the device was that its display didn’t respond
