The X Phones combine a forked version of Android (rather than Microsofts smartphone operating system) with Nokias design sensibilities to offer consumers in emerging markets an affordable first smartphone handset. The first Nokia X phone, announced in February, retailed for just €89 and clocked up 1 million pre-orders in China.
