Windows 8.1 Update 1 screenshots leak, no sign of Start Menu return yet

Microsoft is currently preparing a relatively minor update to Windows 8.1 that’s expected to debut in the spring. Microsoft is understood to be considering bringing back a version of the Start Menu in a future version of Windows. Microsoft is expected to finalize Update 1 for Windows 8.1 in March, with a public release in April. The update, known as a General Distribution Release (GDR) internally, follows similar small GDR updates to Windows Phone.
