With the DOJ’s approval, Microsoft-Nokia deal is one step closer to reality

Over the weekend, the U.S. Department of Justice gave its blessing to the pending Microsoft-Nokia acquisition, leaving Redmond one step closer to buying the Finnish companys devices and services business for a cool $5 billion. Last month, Nokia shareholders approved the transaction, and this latest hurdle means that the deal could be on track for approval in early 2014, as Microsoft previously stated.
