World’s largest video game collection has been put up for sale

The world’s largest video game collection is now available to purchase, Ars Technica reports, as collector Michael Thomasson, who has bought more than 11,000 video games and over 100 game consoles over the last 20 years needs the money to better support his family. Bidding started at $1 on Wednesday at GameGavel, and with more than six days left to go, the price has reached $90,751 – though the reserve price has not been met yet. Thomasson told Retro that he has been collecting games and consoles since the 80s, with his yearly budget for purchasing games and gaming systems being somewhere around $3,000. The gamer’s collection was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest such collection in the world in July
