Xbox One party chat problems will ‘get better,’ Microsoft promises

Microsoft says it’s working to fix several issues with its Xbox One party chat service. However, Xbox One owners have reported several issues with the service, including the inability to connect to friends on occasions and restrictions on using the service while playing certain titles. I had a meeting today about much of this and I can say that things will get better, says Microsoft’s Larry Hryb (Major Nelson), in a post on Reddit. I cant offer a timeline of a list of what will be addressed first, but we are aware of the issue and things will get better. Microsoft’s party chat service has changed significantly from the Xbox 360 version, forcing users into a separate app that snaps to the side to manage parties. It’s not clear if Microsoft plans to return to the style of system used on the 360, but the company is promising to address the connectivity issues at some point in the future.
