Microsoft is slowly but surely turning Windows 8 into a palatable operating system, starting with the first major Windows 8.1 update. Some of the new features of the update include the ability to pin apps to the taskbar, a right-click context menu on the Start screen and a host of keyboard and mouse functionality improvements. Unfortunately, the fated return of the Start menu is still at least an update away, but at least we finally know for sure that it’s coming. Although the update is set to go live on Windows Update at 12pm ET, Neowin has gathered all the download links for the update in one convenient location for any impatient Windows users who want a better OS right this minute.
