You can now star contacts in Gmail and sync them with Android

Anyone who has an overflowing Starred Gmail folder will be thrilled to hear that they will soon be able to star their favorite contacts, too. Google announced today that Gmail users can now star their favorite contacts, helping them keep track of the people they email most.
