Twice a year, the biggest names in video game speedrunning from all around the world come together for Games Done Quick, a livestreamed charity marathon which has quickly become one of the most popular gaming events on the Internet. Summer Games Done Quick 2014, the latest incarnation of the marathon, started this Sunday with a speedrun of Super Mario 3D World, one of our favorite games of 2013. Of course, we didn’t beat it in under 2 hours. Games Done Quick raises money for Doctors Without Borders, a humanitarian organization which delivers emergency medical care to individuals in more than 65 countries. Over the course of Awesome Games Done Quick 2014, the first marathon of the year, donators raised over $1,000,000
