Apple seems to be very confident that the iPhone 6 is going to be a world-conquering hit. G for Games points us to a new report from Taiwan’s Business Weekly that claims Apple has ordered an “unprecedented” number of iPhone 6 units for this fall. What does “unprecedented” mean, exactly? According to the publication’s supply chain sources, the number of iPhone 6 orders placed is about twice the number that Apple placed for the iPhone 5 — the first batch will supposed by 68 million units. G for Games notes, however, that this could be because Apple is making two different iPhone 6 models: One with a display of 4.7 inches and another with a display of 5.5 inches. The report
