Saudi Aramco Traces Data Leak to Attack on Supplier

Saudi Aramco, one of the world’s largest oil and natural gas firms, has confirmed that corporate data was leaked after attackers breached one of its suppliers.

A spokesperson tells Information Security Media Group that Saudi Aramco’s internal IT systems were not affected, and that its oil and gas operations continue to function normally. The company says its leak investigation remains ongoing.
