A new fake email, which pretends to be from Adobe is in the wild and spreading on the internet. The email has an attachment, which contains an executable file having PDF icon.

If the user gets lure by this mail and execute the file, the computer gets infected. The sample I came across installs a Rougware named “Privacy Protection”. It shows that yours computer is badly infected.

Later on the Rougware keep prompting you for activation, so the attacker can get money from it. Eventually, the Rougware may downloads other malicious files which may leads to the online data theft.

Quick Heal detects and deletes the attached file along with the installed Rougware.
