Apple on November 23 kicked off the holiday shopping season with its annual Black Friday sale. Visitors to the company’s online retail site or in-store locations around the country will be treated to one-day discounts on iPads, iPods, MacBooks and other gadgets and accessories. For example, users can get $41 off a $499 iPad with Retina display, $31 off a $399 iPad 2 and $31 dollars off a $299 iPod Touch, among several other deals. One of Apple’s biggest bargains is on laptops, which, while it won’t win any doorbuster prizes, is still a sizable discount on a pricey item.
