Description: Your duties include maintenance and expansion of our existing Linux infrastructure in a hetrogeneous server landscape. You will independently implement IT projects in the Linux environment, in which respect, you will perform tasks relating to implementation, conception and coordination. Our challenges: You will administer and expand our existing Linux server landscape. You will manage the Linux server applications used (Samba, BIND, DHCP, Postfix, Dovecot, Apache). You will support our team in supervising the various systems and their applications using current analytic tools (Nagios, Cacti, tcpdump). You will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the various virtualisation environments (KVM, VMware, Xen). You will provide support in expansion and configuration of HA environments. 350 national/international employees will profit from your know-how with internal user support in 3rd level support.
Required skills: Training in computer science or a similar field Experience in administration of servers and network services Solid knowledge of hetrogeneous network infrastructures Sound command of written and spoken German and English Ability to work in a team Structured and precise work processes Independent action and communication skills Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
Desired skills: Desirable additional skills: Experience in the Linux environment Basic knowledge in the ares of virtualisation and SAN environments Experience with Gentoo Linux
