The early-access beta for Destiny, the upcoming science-fiction console game from Halo developers Bungie, will go live later this month for anyone who preordered the game (for $59.99): 10 am PDT on July 17 for PlayStation 3 and 4 owners, and July 23 for Xbox 360 and One owners. An Xbox Live Gold subscription is necessary to play Destiny on Xbox consoles, Bungie confirmed in its press release. A PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to play it on PlayStation consoles, but having a Plus account will unlock some otherwise-inaccessible features.
