Fake “Beyonce Nude” Flickr Fakeout leads to Shenanigans

It’s entirely possible that someone is onto a good money thing when the third result in Google for “Beyonce nude” is a stray Flickr account up to a little spamming, using a tried and tested caper that isn’t typically seen on the image sharing service:

Above is a Flickr profile with a fake video graphic slap bang in the middle of it. No, it won’t play and clicking the (entirely fake) picture of a video player directs the user like so:

Fashion Tube? Haven’t we seen that one before? Sure have. Here, you get a large still shot of a naked lady in a shower and the message that you can only play the “video” if you install “UT Player”.

Thanks, but no thanks.

There wasn’t a Miley sex tape last time around, and there isn’t any Beyonce nude video here either. Just because a link is riding high in a legitimate search engine doesn’t mean it will serve up anything good, and end-users should be cautious when presented with fake video player graphics on Flickr profiles – the same tactic has been used for years to send the unwary to Malware drive-by attacks and related nasties.
