Description: The Product Manager is responsible for the overall content roadmap and threat protection strategy for McAfee Anti-Spam and related technologies. This role will be primarily responsible for setting the direction of the Anti-spam engine, content, and email server reputation for all products leveraging McAfee Anti-Spam technologies. In addition, this role is tasked with helping drive new cross-pollenation opportunities between McAfee Anti-spam and other technologies. The Anti-Spam product portfolio includes a diverse set of technologies that are deployed in McAfee’s Email Appliances, SaaS, Software and Consumer Desktop Anti-Spam solutions. The candidate will be expected to interface regularly with a broad set of product teams responsible for these solutions. This role has a significant customer-facing component and will serve as a content representative, from McAfee Labs, in key accounts. Key Responsibilities: . Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the Email Appliances, SaaS, Software and Consumer Desktop Anti-Spam solutions to develop the vision and strategy for the content to address today and tomorrow’s threats . Develop and own the content roadmap for Anti-Spam and the associated McAfee Labs research databases while working closely with McAfee Labs Anti-Spam Research Operations teams . Work closely with customers and the McAfee account teams to manage feature enhancement requests and gather requirements for content on a regular basis . Partner closely with engineering to develop detailed and actionable requirements (MRD/PRD) . Manage technical reviews of product performance; recommend technology/product enhancements as necessary to drive the team to excel in reviews.
Required skills: Required Skills/Experience & Education: . 2+ years product management experience (or related management role) preferably in security or networking companies . Understanding of security threat landscape and solutions, specifically anti-spam, web research, and malware and how the worlds are interconnected. Experience with email operations and standards. . Ability to learn product management processes, including MRDs/PRDs, competitive analysis, and feature/function prioritization . Business focus with strong technical background; well developed analytical skills; excellent project management skills . Self-motivated; Proven teamwork and people management skills; excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills . Comfortable working with a wide variety of corporate executives, sales, marketing, engineering, operations, customers and business partners . Experience in working in a globally distributed organization across multiple timezones and flexibility to travel internationally. . A BS or equivalent degree in a technical discipline is strongly recommended.
