Wombat Security Technologies is looking for an individual to assist in the expansion of their email and web filtering solutions. Candidates will be called upon to use their statistical, mathematical, and creative problem solving skills to uncover insights and trends to improve Wombat’s best in class anti-phishing email filter. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, success-driven candidate who is interested in being challenged and in learning new skills. This opening also comes with an opportunity to interact with some of the world’s leading experts in email and web filtering technologies, including several Carnegie Mellon University faculty, and to contribute to ongoing efforts to further enhance the company’s leading-edge solutions. * MS/PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics with a focus on Machine Learning, or equivalent experience * Predictive modeling, including: Support vector machines, Bootstrap aggregating / bagging, Cluster analysis, Cascading classifiers, Decision trees, Time series analysis & time series forecasting, Boosting, Factor analysis, Structural equation modeling, Item response theory, Markov chains, Voronoi diagrams, Neural networks, Genetic algorithms, Data visualization, Bayesian modeling, Multivariate regression, Logistic regression *Statistical analysis tools (e.g. Octave, R, SAS, SPSS, Tableau, Weka) |

– Experience with Email Infrastructure – Multivariate test & targeting tools including: – Hadoop-based tools (Mahout, Hive, Pig) – Map Reduce – SQL – Excel – Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, C, C++ |
