Description: The Senior Director of Product Management will be part of the McAfee Labs core technology team, responsible for bringing McAfee’s security solutions to Intel’s chipset. The Senior Director will be responsible for product technology lifecycle including definition of problem statement and customer use cases, detailed product requirements, and working with engineering to validate that solutions proposed by the delivery teams meet the needs of the market. Prior experience working with security software technologies is required. The product manager should demonstrate a passion for building innovative solutions with a proven ability of bringing solutions to market. Key Responsibilities: – Formulate an innovative strategy by bringing together security designs with Intel’s chipset features and facilitate the innovation and delivery within Intel/McAfee. – Responsible for the complete product release cycle including requirements discovery and validation creation of business proposals, market requirement documents and roadmaps – Sets the focus of the go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute. – Periodically present to world-wide field sales or SEs on current strategy and status – Patmos Platform ownership – Will require travel (20-40%), some international
Required skills: Required Skills/Experience & Education: – Solid technical understanding of malware behavior is critical – Prior experience in the IT security industry required – Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences – Ability to work and gain consensus with distributed cross functional groups – Ability to work well in team environment – Sense and desire to be accountable for technology quality – Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time with minimal supervision – Knowledge of IT and Security environments and how security fits into varying customer environments – Good understanding of semiconductors ideal
