Description:
Norman is looking for a person that can lead Norman’s Threat Research and Response Team (TRR) in Norman R&D. TRR is a global team that manages all detection logic for Norman, provides threat intelligence and leads threat research.

TRR?s mission is to provide immediate and effective response to threats by using cutting-edge research and advanced data analytics technologies.

As Director TRR, you are responsible for several teams of malware researchers and automation specialists spread around the globe. This is a technical leadership role where you will be involved in research, automation and big data analysis.

You will work closely with other directors in Norman R&D, with the CTO and with other engineering teams in Norman.

The team currently consists of very dedicated researchers and analysts located in Norway and India, and works closely with development resources in San Diego, California.

Responsibilities:

1) Develop strategic plans and priorities for research, automation and data analytics.

2) Motivate and challenge your international teams, make Norman the best place to work.

3) Participate in research projects to develop new detection methods.

4) Collaborate closely with other engineering teams in Norman.

5) Write blog articles and contribute to research and commercial papers.

6) Interact with the media and support marketing.


Required skills:
. A deep understanding of the Internet threat landscape.

. Detailed knowledge of cyber threats and attack vectors.

. Understanding of big data analytics.

. Minimum of ten years experience with Internet security

. Minimum of three years experience leading a research team.

. Broad understanding of network security

Desired skills:
. Experience using reverse engineering tools.

. Programming experience and understanding of network protocols.

. Experience from working in international teams in different time zones.
