Description: Job Description Sr. Security Researcher – Embedded System Vulnerability Researcher Location: Santa Clara, CA About the Role: The Person that takes this role will be working within McAfee Labs to deliver security research on embedded systems. This is a unique opportunity to influence and contribute to a critical part of the business that protects our customers. Specifically, the person will primarily be involved in security analysis of embedded systems. The main focus of this role is to identify exploitation techniques on embedded systems, analyze the security protections of embedded systems, and provide suggestions on how to additional security protections to counter these threats. . Key Responsibilities: . Vulnerability discovery and vulnerability research on embedded system . Exploit & Shellcode developement . Research & Develop behavioral heuristics for generic detection of embedded system attacks
Required skills: Required Experience/Skills & Education: . Expert knowledge of vulnerability research . Expert knowledge of vulnerability discovery, Fuzzer, Static Code analysis . Windows and Linux Kernel knowledge . Exploit and Shellcode development experience . Strong network protocol knowledge . Expert knowledge of C and C++, and at least one scripting knowledge. . Strong communication skills and team-work skills Desired Skills: . Experience working with offshore teams. . Past vulnerability discovery experience . Experience on VxWroks, embedded Linux .
